Markens gate 24

The building dates from 1903 and was originally designed in the Swiss chalet style. The main street-facing volume is retained, while the façade is simplified and refined with references to its original architectural expression. A new one-storey extension is proposed in the courtyard, including technical installations on the roof. This allows the ground floor to be connected with Gyldenløves gate 5 to create a larger commercial unit. The attic is proposed converted from storage to habitable space, with new roof windows.

Skippergata 12 and 18
These timber buildings are upgraded as part of a joint strategy to expand shop areas and enhance the architectural appearance of the trehus (wooden house) environment. The interventions preserve the character of the existing structures while adapting them to contemporary functional and technical requirements.
