Floating Sauna constructed in CLT
The sauna is located in relation to the seaside promenade at Kadettangen and is ment to be a breathing space where you can experience the silence and natural elements. To break down the scale the sauna is divided into five smaller volumes that reflects the traditional boathouses that can be found in the Oslo Fjord. The sauna is constructed in CLT in combination with recycled materials from a 100 year old barn. The use of CLT made it possible to create the characteristic arch shape roofs that beside the visual expression also contributes to a more efficient use of the heat and makes the sauna space even warmer.
